What We Do (And What We Don’t)
What we do: Come to your location, find your spare and tools, jack the car safely, swap the flat tire for the spare, and torque the lugs to spec. You drive away on the spare to your nearest tire shop or home.
What we don’t do: We don’t sell tires or do tire repair on the side of the road. If you need a new tire, we can tow you directly to a tire shop or your mechanic.
No spare? Many newer vehicles come without a spare tire (just a sealant kit). If your spare won’t work or you don’t have one, we’ll tow you instead.
Why Call TowXcel for a Flat
Safe Spot
Changing a tire on a busy shoulder is dangerous. Let a pro with safety lights and traffic experience handle it.
Right Tools
Locking lug nuts, missing tools, or a stripped jack point — we carry what you need.
One-Truck Solution
If your spare won’t work, the same truck can tow you. No second wait.
Flat Tire FAQ
Will you change my tire on the highway?
Yes — we carry safety lights and follow Maryland’s “Move Over” law procedures. If a shoulder is too narrow or unsafe, we may tow you to a safer spot first.
What if I don’t have a spare?
Many newer vehicles ship without a spare. We’ll tow you to a tire shop instead.
Can you patch or plug a tire?
We don’t do tire repair on the roadside. A proper repair needs to be done at a tire shop with the tire dismounted from the wheel.
How long does a tire change take?
Once we arrive, usually 15–20 minutes. Faster on a flat, level surface; longer on a tight shoulder.
Should I drive far on my spare?
Most “donut” spares are rated for short distances at low speeds (50 mph and under). Get a real tire installed at the next opportunity.
